Franklin Arbuckle
- Born in Toronto in 1909 and died there in 2001
- Studied at the Ontario College of Art under J.E.H. MacDonald, F.S. Haines, and J.W. Beatty
- Established his own studio in 1930.
- Taught at the Northern Vocational School in Toronto and at the Franz Johnston Summer School in Georgian Bay.
- He completed illustrations for the Hudson Bay Company as well as cover illustrations for nearly 100 editions of MacLean’s magazine.
- Paintings have been shown in almost every major exhibition in Canada, at the World’s Fair in New York, and in numerous other settings.
