Jan Balet

Born in Bremen, Germany in 1913. Died in 2009.
Studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Munich where he developed his artistic skills and found ways to express his unique vision.
Relocated the United States in 1938, living and working in New York for the next 25 years.
Returned to Germany in 1965 and established a second successful career in painting and print-making; eventually settling in Switzerland as his permanent home.
His superior draftsmanship and formal methods created an art that engages viewers on various levels of artistic interest.
