John Joy
- Born in Toronto in 1925. Died in 2012.
- Studied art under the well-known Carl Schafer and Doris McCarthy.
- In 1957 he became a founding member of the Society of Co-operative artists, which later became known as the Society of Canadian Artists, a national non-profit artists organization dedicated to promotion of visual arts.
- He was a member of the Toronto Arts and Letters Club, a meeting place for professionals in the arts
