Murray Smith

  • Graduated from The High School of Art and Design, attended The Art Students League and The School of Visual Arts.
  • He studied with John Philip Osborne and has incorporated his some of principles of the use of light and color into his own still life and landscapes.
  • His “Lighthouse” was the first artistic work to appear in a multi-color process on a Canadian stamp.
  • An award winning director, he has had a distinguished career in advertising for many years and is credited with creating campaigns and posters for many films, including “Star Wars”, “Apocalypse Now”, and “Superman” among over 200 other films
  • His work is appreciated in both Canadian and international circles.
