She studied at Pratt Institute, earning a Bachelor of Fine Art degree in 1962.
Her first solo exhibition was held at the Kasner Gallery in New York City, which included collages, constructions, drawings and paintings.
Most well-known for her work with figures sculpted from wood and covered in leather, as well as the use of straps, zippers and string.
