Norman Smith

Born in 1949, he studied art and design in Bristol, completing his teaching certification.
He taught for several years and used his breaks from teaching to travel extensively to India, the Far East and Australia.
In 1987 he decided to pursue painting as his full-time occupation.
His works are predominantly pastels, with strong and gentle use of color.
His subjects include coastal and marine landscapes.
He is a member of the Pastel Society and a regular exhibitor at galleries in London.
