Richard Basil Mock
Born in Long Beach, CA, in 1944; died in 2006 in New York
A printmaker, painter, sculptor, and editorial cartoonist
Earned his bachelor’s degree from the University of Michigan in lithography and block printing.
Well-known for his linocut illustrations which were often featured on the editorial pages of the New York Times.
Named an official portrait painter of the 1980 Olympics.
