Thomas (Tom) Mathews

  • 1920 – 2000
  • The natural evolution of his painting was from water colors to casein to oils to acrylics and pastels, from the very traditional to abstract and non-objective to a present strong influence of Pointillism and bold color.
  • In the commercial field he was employed at newspaper illustration, display designing, journeyman lithographer, and photo engraver
  • In later years he lived in Bloomfield, Ontario, where he operated his own art gallery.
